- The Celestron Nexstar in comparison is a fork mount which inherently causes star rotation in exposures ( Field rotation ). While those mounts are suitable for observing they are a bad choice if you are serious about astrophotography. At the price point you mentioned earlier a Skywatcher HEQ5 or Celestron Advanced VX could be a suitable GEM choice.
