- Henslow's Sparrow, since I f'd it up in the title and can't change it! This shy species usually stays buried in thick grass, so I was stoked to nail this individual on a dreary morning. No audio, just an hour of stalking. This bird was only ~15 inches off the ground so I had to lay in the wet grass and shoot up on it to get the clean BG.

- Local farmers are allowed to use it as summer pasture (not yet, now there are lots of geese and other birds breeding) for, usually, young dairy cows (14-22 months old). Maybe the barbs are not that close in real life, the photo is from a very small angle along the path so compression plays a role. LIKES 3.

Today, however, they are sadly only found in the wet tropics and Cape York. They inhabit rainforests, melaleuca swamps, mangrove forests and even beaches.
