- now my question is: this is my first foray into astrophotography. I know there is equipment I need to get to extend the shutter time beyond the standard 30 seconds in the 350d. But until I get that equipment what are some good tips for maximizing the maximum 30 sec exposure on my 350d to get the best astro pix I can?
