- Unlike your XT which has very limited and indifferent quality at what are now "moderate" ISOs, the T1i does have considerably higher ISOs available (by using the expansion you can make 12,800 available). If you do so, remember that a little noise never hurt anybody, so long as you get the shot. That extra speed alone would be worth the upgrade.

- ISO should probably 800 or 1600 (higher ISO means more noise). Aperture is usually wide open (f# as low as possible). For the stock lens that will be f/3.5 at 18mm. Then set your shutter to anywhere from about 5-25 seconds. Play with it from there and make it your own.
