- This filter passes O-III, H alpha and H beta lines at over 90% with a fairly wide bandpass. Compared to the Zhumell O-III filter, the Orion Skyglow Broadband is hands down better. For one thing, the Zhumell O-III filter is too dark to use with my 4.5 inch reflector. Also, the Zhumell filter makes everything dark blue.

- Nice filter to use on deep space objects under skies with light pollution. The filter will reduce luminosity a bit but if you have otherwise good skies it will increase contrast and detail. I use it with a Revolution Imager R2 set up on a 8in Celestron SCT and have gotten very nice results. Filter feels well made, solid. Helpful Report abuse
