- Go to the bottom of the Common tab and select NVIDIA Mental Ray as your Production Renderer. All my Render Settings are shown in the image below. I will note a couple things though. It is vital you change the Frame Buffer Type to 32-bit. By default Mental Ray clips pixel values at 1.0. We want the full pixel range for when we hit comp.
