- I have been using a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX500 for photographing documents in archives. Tripods are not encouraged, and flash is banned. The Lumix does a remarkable job in these circumstances. The only problem comes from trying to get curly parchment documents because of the inevitable shallow depth of focus.
