- Yes, I feel that the extremely dilute stop bath both saves money (least important) and also is sufficient if you use one shot processes, as I do. I have always used B&W fixer after the stop bath for both C41 negs and RA4 paper with no problems, as long as there is a wash after the fix. My process is: dev, stop, fix, wash, blix. I get great results.
