- Portable Pole Photography Rig. I used a 10-foot PVC pipe cut into 3 sections. This makes the sections small enough to fit in the car trunk, but can be assembled to reach ~ 3, 7 or 10 feet. I put a 1/4 inch bolt through a PVC end cap. This is tripod-mount compatible. The tripod ball-head is optional, but makes it easy to adjust the angle of the camera.
