- Congrats on your 717. You'll need 2 filters, an IR filter (the Hoya R72 seems to be the most popular) and a ND filter (most of us seem to use an ND 8 filter). The camera is placed in "nightshot" mode with the iso at 100. You also should block the IR imitters on the lens (I use a ring cut from a 3 1/2 floppy).
