- Sprint chemistry was designed by MIT students who decided to make their own school developer, that's why it started in Massachusetts/Rhode Island, I do certainly trust MIT student with chemistry, but still it doesn't mean if they designed them to be the best, just that they designed them to work for school darkrooms, not "commercial lab" use.

But I also use Neopan. 1600 most of the time, and Yashica cameras with Zeiss lenses. You. don't hear much about Neopan and Yashica either. <p>. I think a large part of it is advertising.

- As you recall, film is made up of a support and an emulsion. The emulsion has two major ingredients: Silver Halide Crystalsand Gelatin. The silver halide crystals capture the photographic image. The gelatin holds the silver halide crystals in place, somewhat like Jello holds pieces of banana in place.
